Easter FlowersYou may be wondering where the Easter flowers went. The church looked so beautiful on Easter Sunday and it seemed a pity that the display was only there for one day. Well, the choice was to leave them in church for another week which would involve daily watering and nobody seeing them until the following Sunday, or the arrangements could be dismantled and made into smaller arrangements and taken to elderly and sick people who could enjoy them on a daily basis. The latter certainly seemed the better option and so the Tuesday after Easter saw a hive of activity in church as a number of folk, including Sam Wakeford and Hannah Jones, set to work under Ann's watchful eye and produced 12 separate arrangements. The recipients were most grateful for receive such gifts from St John's. Many thanks to all those who helped with the flowers in so many different ways - and to those who gave generously toward the cost of the flowers in the first place.
