Father God we open our week with a prayer for those working throughout the summer especially in health care and essential services. Let those carrying on their duties be acknowledged, respected and appreciated by the wider population particularly if ,due to holidays by colleagues, there are delays and difficulties due to staff shortages. Today we welcome the facility provided by Connections in the Hall (2pm) as (mostly) seniors enjoy board games and quizzes along with tea and cake. As you know Father the elderly often suffer from acute loneliness ,made the harder to bare if many others are away enjoying themselves, hence the importance of a convivial environment being open this afternoon. May all attending be blessed by you and their spirits raised.
