St John's Calendars

Father, we give thanks for the opportunity for staff and students to embrace the half-term week. Let them be refreshed and appropriately distracted from school work as they recharge their batteries, ready for the remainder of the term up to Christmas. May those at the other end of the age range engage with you, Lord, as the Rev. Nigel Hinton leads Connections Praise (2 pm) in the church, and for your Spirit continuing to be amongst the group during tea and cake that follows. We pray especially for the seniors attending who live alone that they receive fellowship as well as your Word. Similarly, we hold up St John’s Online (8 pm) as the Zoom service goes out far and wide, including to several regulars domiciled abroad. Thank you for the technical advances which enable the dissemination of the Word in this way.
