St John's Calendars

Father God, you have seen everything before and know the future. We marvel at your creation and lament at our often woeful stewardship. Please make us more appreciative of everything around us and not take those walking this life with us for granted. Today we note the troubles in the world but give thanks for attempts to broker peace and acknowledge ,by way of encouragement ,those who have trodden the path before. For this very day in 1978 The Nobel Peace Prize was jointly presented to Prime Minister Begin of Israel and President el-Sadat of Egypt. We pray today for effective and sustainable peace treaties in conflict zones around the globe.
