Lord we acknowledge how fickle us humans can be and pray for each and everyone of us to strive to be that little bit more like Jesus. May we spend more -and truly constructive-time studying and learning your Word and observing others who set us a positive example of Christ like behaviour. On this day in 1934 the notorious US prison of Alcatraz opened in San Francisco Bay holding many of the most violent and dangerous offenders then living in the USA yet ,let us remember, you Lord knew each one and Your Way was available ,even to those rejected by society as unforgivable outcastes, if only they called upon you. Thank you for continuing to provide that hope of true freedom of spirit to all in society.
