The Annual Meeting of Parishioners and the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) are held by the end of May each year. They are the occasions on which Churchwardens and Parochial Church Council (PCC) members are appointed. Every three years, Deanery Synod representatives are also appointed at the APCM, the most recent of which was held in May 2026. Prior to the APCM, the St John’s Electoral Roll is revised to ensure it is an accurate reflection of the formal membership of the parish. Every six years, a review of the Electoral Roll is carried out, which involves rewriting it completely by inviting existing Roll members and church attendees to apply for membership. This was last done prior to the 2025 APCM.
All members of the Church Electoral Roll and those resident in the parish and on the Civil Voters List may attend the Meeting of Parishioners and vote.
Only members of the Church Electoral Roll may attend, speak and vote at the APCM.
The St John’s PCC Secretary and Electoral Roll Officer will be happy to answer any questions
