On World Mission Gift Day St. John's has an annual collection for our Mission Partners. It is felt that this gives better focus to our Mission outreach than simply giving one tenth of the weekly collection to Mission - as occurs in many churches. For many years now this event has resulted in donations of £20,000, for which our partners are extremely grateful.
Donations for World Mission Gift Day can be made in various ways:
  • By bank transfer: please make a payment to the St John's church bank account using the reference "WMGD". The account details are as follows: bank name - CAF Bank; account name - St John's Felbridge PCC; account number - 00030213; sort code - 40-52-40.
  • By card: please use the WMGD option on the card reader in church.
  • By cash or cheque: please put your donation in the collection bowl in one of the printed envelopes provided or in a blank envelope clearly marked with the reference "WMGD". Unless you wish to donate anonymously, please add your name. If it is a Gift Aid donation, please also add your address unless St John's already has a record of your address.
  • Via CAF or Stewardship: please use the reference “WMGD” for your transaction.

The Quiet Revival - Opportunities for church growth

Have you seen or heard about  The Quiet Revival Research recently published by the Bible Society?

EVIDENCE IS MOUNTING THAT GOD is doing something new in the UK. Four independent pieces of research have indicated that millions more people are attending church and many of these are coming to faith for the first time.

There will be  webinar held on Wednesday 9 July at 1.30pm in partnership with the College of Archbishops’ Evangelists, that will examine how we can best respond to this moment of opportunity. Discussing how to reach out effectively to those now wishing to explore Christianity and welcome them into church communities where they can grow in faith and use their energies to make a difference.

Help Thomas raise money for Fundo
In July Thomas Poole is going to Uganda to visit our mission partners the Asikus and help build the water tanks for the school in Fundo.  Thomas hopes to raise over £1000 for the charity. You can help him by buying or baking cakes for the cake sale on the 8th June after the 10am service.  Or you can sponsor him on his challenge to walk the height of Mount Everest in Scotland between the 18th May-3rd June.
