Summer Sunday
Our All Age service, which normally takes place on the first Sunday in the month. will take place on 12th July and will be followed by our Church barbecue. We would like to encourage those who would normally come to the evening service to come to our church barbecue, so that we can spend time in fellowship with one another.  It is due to be 27 degrees on Sunday, there is plenty of shade, but please remember to bring lots of sun protection.
Please park in the church car park and walk to the Viviers' house if you can. There is limited parking for those who have trouble walking.
After the barbecue there will be a short communion service at 4.30pm. However, there will be no church tea served at this service and no BOSS youth group.
 
 
Safeguarding Training Morning 2026
 
For all volunteers at St Johns’s Church who are members of the PCC, Church Wardens and Deputy Church Wardens,
leaders and helpers in Children and Young People’s groups including JAM, and members of the Pastoral Care Team.
Date - Saturday October 3rd 9.30-12, St John’s Church
Topic – online safeguarding training.
Focus - Our focus this year is for volunteers to update their online safeguarding certificates during this training meeting.
Doing this together in our groups will stimulate valuable discussion about safeguarding issues pertinent to each group.
Please put this date in your diary.

Donate your used ink cartridges by putting them in the box in the church office.  ARocha will receive between 10p-£1.00 for every cartridge donated (depends on the cartridge type). Find out more information here. So far your used ink cartridges have raised £34.55 for ARocha.
 
PRAYER FOR THIS WEEKEND

Dear Lord, we thank you for the sunshine this weekend as we meet together for our church family barbecue. Thank you for the encouragement that comes from belonging to Christ and being part of a church. Thank you for the comfort of your love. Give me today a tender and compassionate heart as I seek to share your love with others.
