Safeguarding Training Morning 2026
 
For all volunteers at St Johns’s Church who are members of the PCC, Churchwardens and Deputy Church Wardens,
leaders and helpers in Children and Young People’s groups including JAM, and members of the Pastoral Care Team.
Date - Saturday October 3rd 9.30am -12pm, St John’s Church
Topic – online safeguarding training.
Focus - Our focus this year is for volunteers to update their online safeguarding certificates during this training meeting.
Doing this together in our groups will stimulate valuable discussion about safeguarding issues pertinent to each group.
Please put this date in your diary.

Women's Ministry
Thank you to all those who attended our women's ministry event on Saturday. It was a wonderful time of fellowship over a delicious continental breakfast.
Roxi shared her thoughts on God's sovereignity, explaining how this has impacted her own life. We had some great discussions in small groups.

Leaving 6th form and heading to university is a big change. There are so many things to think about, whether it's living away from home for the first time, making new friends, or learning to navigate what it means to live for Jesus at university.

PRAYER FOR THIS WEEKEND

Dear Lord, I am ready to follow you courageously today but give me the strength I need to do this. Help me not to forget you nor turn from your ways, but that all I do would be done by your power and for your glory. We ask for the services this week to be so helpful for people as you build faith, build your church, and reach out to others. Amen.
