Fairtrade Fortnight 2026
Fairtrade Fortnight 2026 is just around the corner! From 21 September to 4 October, people across the UK will come together to celebrate fairer trade and support the farmers, workers and communities in developing countries. Throughout the two weeks, the focus will be on the theme of Fair Pay and encouraging people to remember a simple truth: fair pay matters because everyone deserves the chance to live well. However we earn a living, we all deserve to be paid fairly. Supporting Fairtrade helps support fairer pay for the farmers and workers behind the products we love. Look for Fairtrade items in our local Supermarkets and shops - flowers, wine, coffee, tea, chocolate, sugar etc. By buying Fairtrade you are helping farmers and producers in developing countries.

Two events worth putting in the  diary -  Harvest Big Brew with a range of stalls with local produce and Fairtrade foodstuffs and crafts, raffle and refreshments at Lingfield Community Centre, from 10am -12 noon on Saturday 26 September and a Fairtrade stall, display and information point at EG Library Thursday and Friday 10am - 3pm and Saturday 10am -1pm, (1st - 3rd October). Please come along and support your local Fairtrade Groups.
