Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

Felbridge Village Meeting
This year's Felbridge village meeting will take place in the main hall at Felbridge Village Hall on Thursday 9 April from 6.00pm.  Cold drinks will be served on arrival. There will be time for attendees to meet other residents and representatives from groups, as well as Felbridge Parish Councillors, before the meeting begins at around 6.30pm.  The finish time is 8.00pm.The format will be for the FPC Chairman to provide a short review of the past year followed by a Question & Answer session chaired by Jeremy Clarke. We anticipate questions relating to the Crawley Down Road developments, issues relating to roads and the move from Tandridge District Council/SCC to the new Unitary Authority.

All Felbridge residents, and those who provide support to residents, are warmly invited to attend so please share the date with others.

World day of prayer
Many thanks to those who attended the fantastic service prepared by the women of Nigeria. Over 2 services there was a great showing of support from all the East Grinstead churches and I, Sheila,  was proud to be the representative from St John’s. After the service Nigerians living in East Grinstead showed us typical Nigerian clothing including amazing headdresses and explained a great deal about Nigerian cooking and common foodstuffs. There was a wonderful ecumenical and international atmosphere. If you missed it, do consider coming next time!

Churches Together Good Friday Service
A parade with the Cross will start from Trinity Church before the service. Representatives from all churches will take part.
Last year was amazing with hundreds of people coming!
We need volunteers:
  • To man road barriers and return them to the store
  • To collect road barriers at 9.45am
  • Prayer support  — ideally this group will meet either in person or on Zoom to pray in the week leading up to Good Friday Service
  • To distribute Hot Cross Buns after the service & mingle with folk to invite people to join one of the Easter Day Services
Please let Colin Humphries know if you would like to be involved in this terrific witness.

Have your say on the next Bishop of Southwark

Our Diocesan Bishop – Bishop Christopher – will be retiring this summer, after many years of faithful leadership in our diocese. Because of this, we’re preparing to begin our search for the next Bishop of Southwark – and in doing so, we want to ensure that we hear the views of as many people as possible across our communities.

We’ve created a simple online survey – we’d love for you and those in your parish to fill it out. The survey is anonymous and should take no more than 5-7 minutes to complete.
