Almighty God, who through your only-begotten Son Jesus Christ overcame death and opened to us the gate of everlasting life: Grant that we, who celebrate with joy the day of the Lord's resurrection, may be raised from the death of sin by your life-giving Spirit; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Praise the Lord for Jesus’ resurrection and our promise of salvation through His sacrifice on the cross on Good Friday. We are blessed with new life in Christ and surrounded by the natural world responding to Spring with increased warmth and colour. Thank God for springtime bringing us buds of promise and hope.    ::  Prayer

At this time of insecurity and uncertainty, of war in the Middle East and Ukraine, we pray for our Government and Leaders. May they be guided by your Holy Spirit to lead our country wisely, with integrity and foresight. To seek your way forward and follow your guidance.    ::  Prayer

We shall have local elections in May. We pray for your choice of local government officers to be elected, that they will work together co-operatively for the good of all their constituents. The church is an organisation primarily concerned with the good of others. Let us support the Carers we know within their family, whose lives are shaped by the needs of others. Carers may feel as if they have no value outside of their caring role. Help us, Lord, to offer friendship, generosity and our time to support and encourage them.    ::  Prayer

“God calls us to be a community of love”, John Stott. Help us, Heavenly Father, to remember those we know who are disadvantaged; disabled; depressed; awaiting medical appointments and those who feel sidelined, forgotten and lonely. Fill us with love.
