Friday 31 March 2023
This morning we hold up the Glebe Café in our prayers as it seeks to offer a warm, comfortable, welcoming, safe space for everyone in the community between 9 am and noon. We thank you for the time and energy the organisers give towards running this project and all those running similar ventures, like the Community Fridges or Foodbanks, which provide lifelines for the needy in the community here and across the country. As schools break up for the Easter holidays today, let this be a time of rest and rejuvenation for pupils and teachers alike. We pray that those facing public examinations in the forthcoming term may use the time wisely but pace themselves sensibly. This evening Lord, please bless the youth groups meeting at St John's and those that run them.    ::  Prayer

As a new month arrives, we thank you, Lord, for the seasons and all they teach us about creation. Let us not be foolish but respect the things of the world and afford our fellow humans the right to coexist in harmony with all, both on these shores and beyond.    ::  Prayer

Dear Lord: So much of our lives don't make sense. This Palm Sunday, let us embrace the unexpected entrance of our Saviour, Jesus. He is Peace. Let us apply this incredible truth to our lives. Peace mattered to Jesus. He came to bring us Peace. He is Peace. Father, how quickly we forget the Peace we possess in Christ! Remind us, minute by minute, as we navigate difficult days and trying times. Father, we need Peace to live fully, as Jesus died for us to live.    ::  Prayer
